If you are a pnm, you should honestly disregard everything you are reading on here and what other people are saying about certain sororities. Go through recruitment open minded, and go for the houses where you have similar personalities to the women who are already in the house and similar moral values to the specific chapters. Ranks really only matter as a freshman, but as soon as you get to your sophomore year, if you are in a house that you picked based off of what everyone else was saying to pick, odds are you aren't going to like being in that house. Despite what fraternity members like to say and think, It's the sisterhood that matters, that's why you should be joining a sorority. If this isn't your reason to join a sorority, then maybe consider not going through recruitment. These women are meant to be your sisters for life, so choose accordingly. Also if you end up with a house you don't think you connected to that well, give them a chance. There's a reason they picked you and if you go to bid day or try a month with them and still don't like it, you can drop before you are initiated and rush again next year. Don't be the person who joins a house because of its tier, and don't be the person who drops because they didn't get the tier they wanted. BE YOU, and if you do, recruitment will go really well for you and you will have an awesome year with people you love and fit well with.
