Subject:
Is it likely to not get a bid?(+ diversity question)

Poster Message:
So I'm currently a high school senior who is attending UCF this fall. At first I never really thought of doing greek life and I would have never in my life join a sorority (mainly due to the stereotypes), but I recently looked into it, found out it actually looked like fun, and now I plan on rushing this fall lol It's probably a bit early to be nervous but I was wondering how often people don't get a bid. I don't wear makeup, I don't have any posts on Instagram, I'm not super preppy, etc. I've hardly had any friends in high school and never went out anywhere, so I'm trying to change that once I go to college. Despite not having many friends, I do like to talk to/get to know people and it would be really nice to be apart of a sisterhood. Also I would really love to get involved with philanthropy. Despite this, I'm still a bit nervous that I may be dropped by most of the houses based on the other stuff I mentioned. One more thing I wanted to ask is if there's any discrimination against POC when choosing PMNs or if it's just that not a lot of POC are rushing. My race is the other reason I never considered greek life before, so I just hope that my worries are wrong. I don't care if a chapter isn't super diverse, I just don't want it to be due to discrimination compared to the idea that just a lot of POC didn't rush.
