First off, sororities are based on MONEY. You are paying to be in it, so if you are already worried about paying dues, you probably shouldn't rush. Second, it depends on the chapter. New member period is the most expensive though because of national fees/badge fees/etc. Some chapters offer payments to be split up while other require payment in full. Third, you have to understand to be successful in a sorority, you need to spend above and beyond dues. You should be paying for basic upkeep (hair, tanning, nails) as well as having nice clothes for everyday wear and for socials/formals/etc.
