<strong>Subject:</strong><br />should i join a sorority?<br /><br /> Poster Message:
I really just want to find my place and my people if that makes sense. In high school, I never really found "my people" so to speak. I wasn't super unpopular and I had friends I'd hang out with but I just never felt like I connected with anyone. I always felt like they'd rather be with someone else and I really only had two friends I could actually open up to but even then I couldn't tell them everything. I was involved in clubs and theatre in school, and it seems like everyone else in my clubs found their place in them but I just never felt that way. I was thinking a sorority might be good for me because it seems to be based more on values and personality than just a common interest or skill. Obviously there's cuts for grades and looks but I think I'm pretty solid there (skinny white brunette nominated for Best Dressed superlative in my high school, 3.5 GPA). Not top, but I'm not super worried about it. What I am worried about is making friends within the sorority. I'm pretty shy and even though a sorority is based more on personality than other clubs I'm worried about cliqueyness in a group that size. Will I be able to find close friends?
