I agree with what you are saying but houses like AEPi and Sammy also bid indiscriminately because they are trying to make up for recruiting a step too high against the topmost fraternities and (striking out) or because they are afraid of slipping so they throw their standards out the window. AEPi, probably feeling the island pinch and afraid of their numbers going down, they had a pc of 55 last semester with 70 actives. What kind of ratio is that? Sammy, they tried to punch upwards in the fall and failed so they compensate by taking in as many pledges as there were actives last semester. No selectivity, no standards, weak brotherhood.
