There’s one rule for PNMs that should be at the top of your list: Find your people. They’re out there. (But doing it by Zoom or whatever is harder!) Things to consider: 1. Try to get a sense of the sisterhood because that’s what the mutual support system is built on and support is what you’re going to need most during your four years here. 2. You’re here to study. A house known for partying might not be the best house for you. (OK. Yawn...!) 3. All the philanthropies are worthy causes. They should be a non-factor unless you have a personal preference based on your own history. The tell, though, is how the members of the sorority talk about it - caring enthusiasm or Inter/National says we have to do it... That tells you something about them, not the philanthropy. 4. If you don’t get a bid from your favorite house, maybe that wasn’t the place for you. Remember that a house that gives you a bid has decided that you - YOU - would be a great addition to their sisterhood. That’s something important to consider.
