Subject:
what if you don’t get your dream house?

Poster Message:
To PNM‘s: Pref Night is upon us and you’re going back to houses that you like and even love. But what happens on Bid Day if you don’t get your number one choice? What happens if the house you love doesn’t love you back? Do you turn down a bid and hope for a COB to your #1 house later in the spring? Probably not a good idea; they might not COB and even if they did, you’d still be a not-quite, no? If they didn’t love you enough the first time around to offer you a bid, what makes you think they’d change their minds? So here’s some unsolicited advice from an alum who’s been there: Forget the stupid rankings! Take the bid! It could be the one of the best decisions you’ll ever make! Why? Because that house loves and wants YOU! Maybe they think your one of the sweetest/funniest/coolest people on the face of the planet. Maybe they see something in you that you don’t see in yourself. Maybe they think you can bring new, fresh ideas. Maybe they think you can be a special part of the wonderful glue that holds their sisterhood together. Maybe they even think you can kick butt where they might need it. Who knows? The point is that they want YOU - and that’s the absolute MOST important thing. They. Want. You. YOU! THEY WANT YOU! Go for it! I hope you get a bid to your dream house. I really do. But if you don’t - well, see above...
