Unless you're REALLY bad at formal recruitment, id suggest waiting. I rushed as a sophomore (first time) and got my first choice house. It was easy and more comfortable because I knew what it was like not to be greek and knew it wasn't the end of the world. You also have to think of your attitude too. Not to make assumptions, but so many girls get caught up in tiers and completely knock off other houses. Who cares about tiers? No one. It's a freshman thing that gets old fast. If a houses cuts you, seriously, screw them because you're amazing either way.
