as someone who rushed locals before going international i can definitely say that there are perks to both type of organizations and for me it just happened to be that an international was a right fit. I care a lot about my future (networking) and having a sisterhood - those are the two biggest things and international has given me. based on what my local friends have told me the sisterhood is different in locals (not better or worse) and not the type for me since it does normally involve some hazing during pledging which i never had to go through. there are perks to both and if you're a potential rush reading this please check out BOTH types... go to a nu sig event and aphi event for example - experience both and then make your decision after!
