I need some help understanding UT rush. It's all over for my daughter, who was cut from everything except ADPi, APhi and AZD. She dropped out because she had targeted a top 6 house and was expecting that to come through and couldn't not reconcile herself to her remaining options. My questions: 1. Is APhi good these days? It was lower tier back in the day (but still was big, strong and brainy but not glamorous) but the FB page shows really pretty girls now. My daughter still was not open to them and I think that was a mistake. Correct me if I"m wrong. 2. How does APhi rank versus ADPi? I thought ADPi was always very solid....still the case?? 3. How can a girl from an expensive, but smaller, private school, who is so smart as to be 19 hours ahead due to AP credits, is socially poised enough to always be part of the cool kids group in Uppper School, is not sleazy, is beautiful enough to be a paid runway model in her city, not be of interest to the top houses? For her top 6 target house, she had an aunt at the same sorority at USC and a UT chapter president write rec letters. She was invited to and had a great time at a dinner in early May where she knew friends of friends, so she was in the same circles that they ran in. She had a comfortable and familiar house visit during rush 2015....and then she was cut. Might it really have been her middel class zip code that lacked affluence or her black boyfriend (who happens to be a doctor's kid going to Vanderbilt) from FB pix
