-They knew they were going to cut you/didn't like you -They didn't know you well enough, so even if you really clicked, the person you talked to may not have had as much pull within the chapter - No recs or recs in too late .. depends on the chapter -You said something offensive or acted rude -Computer error...this happens a lot. -You were an upperclassman they didn't know really well, even if they liked you - GPA...lol DG -When the alumni are snobs -If you're cut from a middle/lower tier chapter early on, you probably didn't click with the girl AT ALL Talking to you is a formality. People already have some idea of who they want. The earlier you got started with preparation work, the more you get on the radar. If you're pretty, a great dresser (not basic), sociable, had all your recs in, interesting, sporty, etc. and you still got cut? That just tells you there's a problem with the chapter. This happens way too much. It always makes me so angry when a perfect girl is cut because an alum or something "doesn't know her" UGH
