W/out mentioning specific sororities, I agree with poster below, so let's just say, if we choose to only select groups we're already familiar with, or if we approach life in the same way day after day, as well as sticking w/what we know, there's definitely a decrease in intellectual aptitude. If, on the other hand, we seek new ways of doing and looking at things, we will expand our intellectual capability, find life more exciting, and broaden our experiences. Ultimately, having an open mind helps us expand our horizons and be more diverse and interesting persons.
