There are several houses that only take girls from their TX city high school/private school friend groups. They pack the houses with girls they know and then during rush, they "say" they are open to oos/smaller town/suburban girls but they're really not. Then they come on here and constantly self rank themselves as a "top" sorority and brag about being the hardest houses to get into and therefore making them the most exclusive. BUT... These are the hardest houses to get into NOT because they are the most desired (as they want everyone to think) but because they are the most EXCLUSIONARY out of all the houses who would never consider girls not in their HS friend groups. When you're automatically excluding girls you don't know before they even walk in the door, obviously, it's clear why the house is hard to get into. Some of the houses that have the worst reps and most issues are continuously (self) ranked at the top and some of the most respected and best all-around houses on campus are ranked significantly lower. If you're from oos, do you want to be in a house full of HS cliques who are excluding outsiders or a house going out of their way to make sure they're open and have a great mix of girls from all over who don't all know each other going in?
