And don't worry about the mean girl behavior of being included on exclusive text or group chat THREATS from Houston, Dallas and Camp you are probably getting now and over the summer - there are so many going around that you will be included on way more than you want, left off ones you don't even realize (and can start your own - GASP). You all end up mixing together no matter what house you pledge when you live in same place. And EVERYONE wants to meet nice girls as the ones that think they are all that get humbled really quickly in the fall. The exclusive group chats from the start of the year look very different by October as people realize others true nature through late nights and bar tabs. You meet so many more people after move in and ones you will end up liking better than the ones you met over the summer who were honestly posing anyway trying to act like they are "in the know". It's funny how fast you figure out once moved in who you thought was gonna be nice is actually the mean girl or the "insecure easy girl" and you have so many more options. Frenemies exist in every group so if a mass group all says we are pledging _______ just know they won't all do that and if they do a lot will regret not escaping the frenemies when they could and will drop out (as witnessed this year) or hang with other sorority girls. Several of the girls are miserable because still "competing" with same girls from high school. Find your own people by listening to your heart - not by what is said from others insecurities. You won't be left out when true to YOURSELF and the values you hold.
