All of this discussion about who is more “elite” is comical considering that UT has one of the weakest Greek Systems of all the SEC state schools. UT’s admission policies that were altered years ago significantly diluted the pool of available candidates going through the system and is why most of the “elite” fraternities pledge ACC students to maintain their numbers and why the girls in Top 6 sororities today are not near as attractive as their counterparts were from 20+ years ago. In truth, many of those members in “elite” fraternities and sororities today would probably mot receive a bid from their same organizations prior to the impact of the admission policy changes.
