I had a talk with a big six alum about "The big six". She had served for years on the house corporation board for her chapter. Late 1960's to the late 1980s. She told me that member quality had varied considerably over the years and in at least a couple of eras she would not have wanted her daughters to have pledged her sorority. She was proud of her chapter but she thought the big six concept was ridiculous.
