Just because you go to school in Texas doesn't mean you have to work in Texas. Going off that theory if you can comprehend it, then your local alumni network isn't all based in Texas, so there are networking opportunities most likely in other major cities like San Fran, NYC, etc. Then, there's the whole UT network and different organizations network. Fraternities have a lot of benefits, but I don't get why people like to focus on the whole grand national network part of it when it's a minimal thing. I guess it's different if you go to a bad school.
