In the 80s Phi Psi was mid tier right above Beta about equal to Sigma Nu. Sone what below Sigma Chi or Delt. Well below the top 6-7 fraternities based on selectivity and or sorority relations. Here’s the real deal,You go Mid Tier if you are presentable and middle class . Upper tier, Presentable and middle class won’t cut it you have to bring something more to the table . Either you have very good people skills and you are super sharp or athletic or If not you’d better from the leading areas of the large metro areas or from schools like Highland Park , Country Day, Alamo Heights , SMH , Memorial/ Strake etc. if you are from a small town you’d better be from one of the best families in your county,If you are presentable and middle class you go mid tier. Nothing wrong with mid tier it’s the truth. If you don’t know about Greek Life or are not as presentable you pledge a fraternity that’s trying to get stronger and break out of the bottom tier.
