Agreed. UT has one of the best engineering programs in the WORLD and one of the best. UT also has a recruitment system comparable to Alabama and Ole Miss. And I gotta admit, the greek system is 'better' (imo) than A&M (no offense), cause tradition runs deep at UT (for Greeks and legacies). The football is good. UT is one of those schools with a huge cult following. The fans are still fans even when the team isn't the best. But historically UT is a powerhouse, football wise. Both schools have their weaknesses and strengths. And a lot of times, there ARE other factors that play into where someone chooses to go. I chose to go to SMU because of Dallas. Nothing against Fayetteville but when I stayed with a few friends there, I knew it wasn't for me. I didn't feel comfortable. Just like a lot of people choose UT over A&M. College station=hell, Austin=life.
