It is actually more common than you think. I know two girls in the new PC that were open minded going in and decided against big 6. One did not want to feel like she had to "try hard to fit in" her sorority. The other wanted to go where she already knew some girls from high school. And before you assume, yes they both had at least one big six as a pref option.
