It does not change how the houses rank you, it does change how you get a bid. Say quota is 100, if you are in your favorite houses top 100 girls (aka the first picks) you will still get a bid. If you are 101, you will not get a bid. Even if 50 of the houses top 100 girls go a different direction you will still not get a bid. Basically suiciding is betting you are one of that houses #1 picks, effectively an all or nothing strategy. Highly do not recommend.
