Let me post an update on this since the rank of spirit groups at UT has changed a lot over the last two years. Here is my rank for male spirit groups. 1 (tie)- Texas Iron Spikes & Wranglers Both are premier almost “Greek frat” organizations. Spikes is more baseball and fratty like, whereas tejas is more BHP majors and sticks to themselves. Both have a lot of clout but tejas isn’t more of a traditional spirit group, whereas spikes likes to mix with sororities and get a more greekish involved. Both are still true service orgs and do a lot of good things for the UT community. You just have to choose which fits you more. 2- Wranglers Think about spikes but less clout.
