What else can you objectively compete on? Also let's stop the "we're all the smartest because we got into UT" meme. There are very smart immigrant kids in community colleges, putting themselves through at night while working two day-jobs. We'll be hard pressed to compete with them. UT auto-admits include the top 6% of every mediocre and bottom tier high school in Texas, without regard to their admissions scores. A lot of the top of our best high schools go OOS to elite universities. Within the state, our avg. scores are good, but way below Rice, no better than SMU or Trinity, and barely better than UT-Dallas. I love UT, but let's be real.
