In reality, UT chapters of major fraternities essentially act independently. they often do not recognize brothers from outside their own chapters and are not welcoming of non-UT brothers. Case in point: Texas Rho of SAE supposedly has a drawer full of SAE badges. They don't wear em. Texas FJI is also distant from the rest of FIJI. If Omicron wants to stay independent of KA I don't see what the bg deal is. Besides KA nationals is going downhill.
