According to UT's website, there are 26 fraternities in IFC. The majority have semester dues somewhere between $675 to around $1000. Six have dues that are around $3000 with FIJI topping out at $6800. These facts alone answer your question. There are UT fraternities within financial reach of many students attending UT. Those fraternities provide a fun fraternity experience and the same lifetime benefits - possibly more in some cases. They just aren't discussed much on Greek Rank. Also - students at UT are not richer than students at any other university, they just act like it.
