<strong>Subject:</strong><br />camps, zip code cuts, etc... what's the deal?<br /><br /> Poster Message:
I am coming from OOS and have been hearing about things that make me very nervous to rush at UT. What is the deal w/ attending "the good camps"? In my state, I spend my summers going to and teaching dance and cheer clinics; I have always had dance, cheer, or sports-related activities throughout the year. I am curious about this different culture I will face at UT. What are these "good camps" I keep hearing about? Also, what is the deal w/ zip code cuts? I live in a great neighborhood, but my town in general is an affluent place to live. (there are no suburbs - it's just a nice, mid-sized town where almost everybody lives a comfortable lifestyle) Do I have to be a multi millionaire to get into a sorority here? I have a 3.8 GPA, but I am hearing everyone has perfect grades going through rush. Is it even worth my time to go through rush? I think I would be a great sister to the right house, but I have been hearing a lot of discouraging words. Can anyone offer something positive?
