There is a line in the Greek sysytem. Fiji, SAE, sigep, kappa sig, zbt, KA, delt, sigma chi are all kind of intertwined in a way. Most of the guys in those above houses are good friends with other guys in the other fraternities listed. That's why you'll see them combine for different events. Lots of them also live together amongst the different houses, especially freshman year. It's because lots of them come from the same hometown, are similar kind of guys, and even though they compete with each other they have respect for each other. Whether you like it or not, most guys in those fraternities are in state Texas kids who grew up in the south/tx, well connected, upper middle class/wealthy, and played sports or were 'cool' in high school. Lots of the guys in lower tier fraternities are either out of state or weren't very "fratty" in high school. So the upper mid/top guys get along. There are cool guys in phi psi and phi delt. Phi psi and phi delt kind of have random guys who didn't know much about the Greek system coming in. Lots are weird, and they're not great with girls. You'll see it at their rush events. They'll lie to you about the kind of girls they hang out with. Phi Psi definitely has one of the nicest houses, but they had it pretty bad this year. Half of their pledge class got dropped and a lot of their exec board was kicked off due to problems with alum. While there are some cool guys, they have definitely bid almost anyone that rushes.
