Typically spirit groups are a different entity from greek life. There are girls who cross over, but mostly out of Sweethearts. Join a sport or something, get involved in Student Government, do something kind of prestigious. In general spirit groups, like any group or person, can sense that you're "using" them to get into a sorority so I'd be careful. Where you live your first year is way more important because it dictates the kinds of girls you'll be around. Callaway or Hardin + the fact everyone wants to make friends as freshmen = a less strained networking opportunity. Avoid living on campus at all costs if you can. AVOID
