The top 8 sororities have tons of girls that know each other prior to rush. dirty rushing is pretty standard for them. That being said, there are some spots available for unconnected girls (even more so in the #7 and 8 sororities) if you really impress them. I know several completely unconnected girls in all of the top 8 houses.
