I am from OOS too. Let me just tell you right now. Your post is an embarrassment to every OOS girl who has rushed successfully as a sophomore. I will say this though...things have gotten better here since when I rushed. Houses are way more open-minded about connections than before, and were especially in 2017. Hence, why some houses are starting to slip. That being said, take a cold hard look at yourself and maybe you'll understand why you ended up with those "inferior" houses despite the easier circumstances. Keep in mind that nobody likes a snake either. It's a little cringey when people latch onto you because they think you can get them in the next year above all things. People smell the desperation so very much. Seriously adjust the attitude, or forget about a chance. We aren't stupid. You're right about not wanting to force a houses, but your post just rubs me the wrong way. Being from some super random state doesn't really help either haha
