It depends. Every chapter has to make a certain number of cuts each round. There are a lot of reasons PNMs get cut and that doesn't mean they don't like you but they decide to keep other PNMs higher on their invite list for various reasons even when the PNM is nice and interested. Understand this: Just about every sorority at UT is competitive (aside from the two mentioned above) and everyone who makes it through to preference and receives a bid is both lucky and honored. Don't forget that even though it's mutual selection, the sororities are really in charge of the invite list. Even if you are the perfect PNM and want particular sororities more than life itself it won't matter if you aren't high enough on their list. Keep an open mind. Be nice to everyone in every sorority, every other PNM, recruitment counselors ... everyone. Don't gossip. Don't listen to gossip. Make up your own mind based on how you feel not what others say. Treat every day as an opportunity to get to know the sororities that still want to get to know you further. Those are the things that will give you the best odds of receiving a bid to a sorority at UT.
