Yes, you need recs, but not from random ladies who don't know you. Find sorority alumnae who DO know you & can write a great recommendation- ask your friends' mothers/ sisters, your mom's friends, your neighbors, your teachers & coaches, women from church or other community organizations you're involved with, etc. They do not have to be alumnae of their sorority's Texas chapter. You are very late to be starting the process for fall rush so get going ASAP before people start leaving town for summer vacation. You'll need to make a rush packet for each rec writer with your resume and photos. And don't forget to write them thank-you notes!
