I can really only speak for my own house. We take one or two sophomores in the fall, and if we take sophomores it is only because we really like them. We haven't taken a spring sophomore since I've been here. Passed that, I haven't really heard of any "top" houses taking a sophomore spring or fall. There's a few in Ksig but they all knew people there when they transferred.
