The Tier system is flawed. It gives off the impression that there is good, better, best sororities which is not the case. Every house is different. The most important thing is to go into wanting to be in the BEST chapter for YOU. I wouldn't want to be in any chapter other than mine regardless of our "rank" and I'm so glad I got there. You just have to talk to the girls and try to get a good feel for what they're all about and see if it matches you. There's more shame in being in a house you hate for superficial reasons than for being "bottom tier". Comparing sororities is comparing apples and oranges because they're all so different and are meant for different types of girls to find their home on campus, that's why there are so many. Going into it, think about what you're looking for in lifelong sisters. Good luck with rush! We can't wait to meet you!
