Living in Lakeshore WILL ruin your chances with some houses. If you are seriously concerned about living in Lakeshore, try to get into a learning community in Sellery or Witte to guarantee your spot there. Chadbourne is also an option but you will for sure be surrounded by really awkward people. Ogg will be for upperclassmen only next year, so if you're living in the public dorms: 1)Witte 2)Sellery 3)Smith 4)Chadbourne and don't even rank the others. I would highly recommend a private dorm like Lucky or Statesider. Most of their freshmen rush and it is definitely a more desirable location. Statesider also doesn't have all the wacked out rules and programming UW Housing does.
