It depends on whether or not you went through formal rush or if you know anyone in the house. Is it a COB recruitment event? Is it just a house event they are already having and using as a COB event. I always felt like spring rush and COBs got an unfair advantage so I bet your chances are much better than formal recruitment, especially if they know anything about you and they more they know the better the chances probably are - Facebook, friends in the chapter, you went through recruitment [even if they cut you, recruitment is so competitive not that I feel like a lot of houses cut people they love only because they do not have room for them]. I think the unfair advantage comes from how low-pressure COB is on the sorority members and the COB guests - conversations are a lot easier. One COB we took in the fall was someone we all really liked and we all talked about what happened because she seemed into us too. Eventually, we found out she got cut and no one, except our recruitment officers, knows why. we may have just had a really strong recruitment that year, ran out of invites, she ranked us low and changed her mind later, we ran out of invites.... who knows. I think all sororities are well-aware that recruitment can overwhelm people so that some people are not themselves during formal recruitment. However, you can still not get a bid through a COB event, I've seen that happen too - especially for grades. GOOD LUCK and please post what happens!
