Bid day is overwhelming for every one. Don't judge it just by yesterday. You will be expected to go to meetings and some other events, but look at it as a fun way to meet new people and get involved in things. You definitely can have friends in other sororities and outside the greek system. There are most likely other girls who feel the same way. Start off slow--maybe get to know the girls in your pledge class who live in your dorm, or get to know a few older girls. It's all what you make of it. It will get less overwhelming. Have fun and congrats!
