So yeah there's been a lot of this talk with the guys, and what I think should be pointed out is that many of the houses that we talk about somewhat regularly just joined campus in the last 5-10 years. SAE, FIJI, Theta Chi, and even Chi Phi recently all came back and have since grown to 100+ (except Chi Phi). The point I'm making is that Greek life is finally seeing some growth and Langdon is able to sustain 8-10 solid chapters. Unfortunately, we're faced with an administration that has been very vocal in their attempts to silence our school's party reputation. Through their efforts, they've effectively shut down Mifflin and brought down Halloweekend to the level of any old big ten school. The next sight in their crosshairs is on Langdon. If you don't live under a rock, you should know that the recruitment committee is currently debating further regulating the very lifeblood of our organizations- recruitment. You can go ahead and assume that the committee will find it to be "in our best interests" to change recruitment somehow, someway. Before this comes to fruition, please get in contact with alumni and ask them to express their concerns about this action. The school needs to know that we will not become a chess piece in their gridlocked battle with the lifeblood and very essence of the American college experience.
