may actually be a good idea if freshman recruitment is immediately after or rush groups are separated so that upperclassmen are the only people at a certain at house at one time during rush - so that all upperclassmen have the same schedule. so they don't feel like red-headed step-children. This also may be a good way to off-set lost upperclassmen, drops, study abroad, early graduation, with other upperclassmen so that pledge-class class-standings are more well-distributed. This can help in rushing the PNMs because the houses are more likely to be full of upperclassmen at that time. Could help new class cohesion b/c all would be freshman and then there is an entire, hopefully similarly sized to the freshman class of uperclassman so that they fit in better and feel they have more of a niche in the house. This would be great to even-out struggling houses before the spring so that all houses are more on equal footing for formal rush. the upperclassmen class will allow empty live-in spots to be more likely to be full in houses with a lot of live-in spots. I would actually, as an already initiated member, prefer a formal upperclassmen recruitment as also a practice recruitment for the sorority's initiated members. Also, the long winter break gets boring. the only problems are homecomming, humo, philanthropies, dirty rush/underground sorority rush which makes unfair competition, freshman being able to make arrangements to live in for the next year, upperclassmen having to wait..
