Hey megan! I felt the exact way when I came on campus. Im the first person to go greek from my family. Sororities pretty fun if you find the house meant for you. Because they’re so big it automatically gives you a great atmosphere to find friends. They hold events called sisterhoods which are just hang out sessions where you get to do fun stuff and make connections with the girls in your sorority. They also raise money for charities through fundraising events. Honestly sororities impact your college experience as much or as little as you want it to. There are some things that you have to go to like chapter meetings (weekly meetings to discuss upcoming events) and rituals. The amount of stuff that you do with frats depends on the sorority you’re in. There are some chapters that don’t really do that much with frats while others hang with them more often. Pairings with frats just comes from who your chapter tends to hang out with more. Overall I’d say give it a shot and see if it’s for you. Hope this was semi-helpful :)
