I’m an alum but I was what people called a “very qualified” in state girl who had a lot of university connections coming in and was COMPLETELY RELEASED from recruitment. What the mom that started this thread is saying is not anything new, it was happening six or seven years ago too. I ended up learning that Greek Life was not for me (I didn’t drink or party in high school or college) even though it was something that my brother and many of my friends got involved with. IMO, getting a bid to certain chapters all really boils down to superficial stuff like who has more money, who went to what high school and who’s more fun to party with, not the grades and involvement qualifiers because basically everyone has those. It is NOT the end of the world if your daughter doesn’t get a bid. Some of my closest friends were made because we all got dropped from recruitment and we are still friends to this day! OP, your daughter is going to have a great Wisconsin experience, Greek or not, because at the end of the day IT TRULY DOES NOT MATTER.
