Alpha Phi has historically been very weak in the South. That's starting to change as they've opened chapters at Bama, Ole Miss, LSU and now UGA over the last decade, but they still aren't really entrenched enough in that region to be on par with, say, Kappa. In another ten years that might be different. They by far have had the best expansion game of any national sorority in recent years. In general I've always seen the "consistently strongest nationally" groups cited as Kappa, Theta, Chi O, Tri Delt, DG and Pi Phi.
