Just always be brief and honest when asked about family members you "do not speak to due to family problems". If asked, simply state you know they are in PPP sorority but do not add you never speak to them (and do not go into why you don't speak to them, they don't really want or need to know). If you are asked what those relatives told you about sororities, be honest if they told you nothing then kindly re-route the subject by asking your rusher what SHE can tell you about her sorority. If cousins showed you their sorority badge years ago you could tell your rusher how pretty it looked or how you felt about what the cousins told you their badge symbolized. Just always be brief and honest about your sorority relatives.
