Seriously though, this made me laugh. I'm a senior, and here's the real deal (no holding back): Kappa did NOT do well this year. After their great class last year, they were solely #1 (opposed to be tied with GPhi), but now I think they are either tied again with GPhi or GPhi is top (they got a really, really great class this year, especially after the mediocre class last year. tbh, I was kinda surprised). DG did get a great class (and MUCH better than last year's totally "yikes" class---again, I was surprised), but I still think they are tied with AXO. AXO got a really great class, much like last year. The only reason DG isn't below them is historical reputation. And APhi did really well, too, but basically the same as AXO and DG. Like I said before, the only thing keeping DG #3 is that they got a really great class this year, and their historical rep of being top tier. I bet if someone from another school ranked the sororities, they'd rank APhi or AXO (or both) above DG. The only other house that REALLY surprised me was AXiD. They did really awesomely. About a third of their new girls could easily be mistaken for top tier pledges. To me, they are now solidly middle tier. Most of the rest of the sororities---PiPhi, Theta, DDD, XO, AEPhi---did about the same as they always do. Theta and DDD are on their way up. AEPhi and XO recruited the same kinds of girls that they always do. PiPhi's class was good, but didn't exceed last year's. Honestly, I thought their spring class last year was REALLY good, and was surprised that they didn't have a crazy amazing rush this fall. I thought SDT was disappointing. I know it's easy to pick on them, but I really do like them. I wish wish wish they would get a physical house. I REALLY think having a permanent home helped AXiD this year, and it would probably benefit them, too.
