I don't ever post on this site, but this is worth talking about.. Yes, it will be significantly harder as a sophomore - that makes sense... you're going to be in a pledge class of mostly freshmen, you're basically a stranger to almost all of the sophomores in the frat, and you have one year less than the other pledges to contribute, so everyone has to REALLY like you. That being said, just be yourself and if you're really meant to join a house, it'll happen. It's just like regular rush and all about fit. Sure, the standards might be a little higher for you since you're a year older, but if its meant to be, it'll work out. And most of all, don't sweat it if you don't get a bid. There's too many great people and great friend groups at this university for you or anyone to be worried about not joining greek life. It's not an end all and regardless of who you're friends with, college will almost definitely be a great time for you. Also, realize that the frat scene basically dies after sophomore year because everyone goes to bars after, even though its nice to have your frat friends go out with you. So everyone is on an even playing field in terms of how much you can go out after soph year.
