Most top houses did get the first pick but judgement was off this year. Hard to figure out sometimes who will be the best fit in the first round In the15 minutes you get with them. Some of the better matches may have been nervous or having a stressed day and didn't come across as they normally would. This year the top houses have a mix of what would usually be middle to lower tier and vice versa. That's what changed the most this year and It helps to have connections if u aim for the perceived top 5.
