There are groups that seem to prefer to bid all of their eligible legacies whenever possible. They don't do it ALL the time, but in my experience DG is absolutely one of them. I recall times when DG used to more publicly announce formal new member numbers, and those usually reflected a large percentage of DG legacies who "Went DG". [examples: 6 of 6 legacies pleDGed in a quota of 18; 11 of 13 legacies pleDGed in a quota of 50; and 22 of 50 legacies pleDGed which is still a high percentage of legacies when quota is 86]. BTW FYI there is NO NPC sorority that ends up with ALL their legacies ALL the time. That would require a type of recruitment not usually promoted in the 21st century, where a young legacy and her mother understand the importance of varietal thinking during recruitment. It is also worthy to note many NPC groups have more eligible legacies to their group on a single campus than could possibly all be pledged into the new member class (eg 26 DG legacies but campus quota is 18; and in Southern States 125 DG legacies but campus quota is 100).
