we were told they would be lowered as we gained more members which wasn't actually true and we were told not to worry because when we were initiated we could vote to lower the dues--basically completely untrue as the dues that were the biggest portion of our cost was set by our nationals and we had no control over it, and we were also told that they were middle of the road for michigan so we didn't realize this was a blatant lie. we were the most expensive sorority to be in this year by like 1000 dollars. we also were not told about outside costs that would be incurred in conjunction with these dues
