Very interesting case! Thanks for putting up link. Read through it briefly and its surprisingly similar to the Cal case involving real estate and ownership of the house. Not surprisingly AOPi national seemed to make a case that it (rather than local corporations) owned the house. Not sure what the value of the Minnesota house was/is but the Cal house is tremendously valuable given proximity to San Francisco and prime location in Berkeley. AOPi national must have combed through its real estate portfolio and looked for all the chapters that continued to own their own houses. Strategy seems to have been to try to take the real estate and if the chapter didn't back down then the charter would be pulled. Will have to read how the Minnesota case was settled.
