Copying and pasting (with a few edits) what I wrote elsewhere: The decision was made in the 2013-2014 school year, so clearly we didn't know anything about this situation at Cal (but by my understanding, that chapter is lucky that they only got their recognition pulled and didn't get sued for breach of contract). I was able to attend a couple of the extension presentations while that process was occurring. If I'm not mistaken, the original plan was to choose one sorority to come to campus in fall 2014. Ultimately, we liked all three that presented but were able to put them in a priority order, which led to the current staggered introduction. So, no, AOPi didn't have the same compelling "let's-bring-back-our-Beta-chapter" story as Gamma Phi, but we clearly liked them enough to offer them a place in our Panhellenic. I hope that they are treated with the respect they deserve.
